Salman Khan on the way to Race 3

For months, the rumor circulated in the industry. Salman Khan was going to take over the Race franchise. It is now official since the producer Ramesh Taurani confirmed it to the press! Until now dominated by Saif Ali Khan, the franchise had started in 2008. The first part brings together Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu, Akshaye Khanna and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. Following the success, the second sequel of poorer quality was born in 2013.

In Race 2, Saif was accompanied by John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, and Jacqueline Fernandez. However box office magic had operated and a third sequel was immediately announced. It took, however, nearly five years before Race 3 is officially confirmed. Bad news for the fans of the first hour as the franchise will take a whole new look. The Abbas-Mustan duo will no longer be directing and Saif Ali Khan said he was not contacted for the project.

Very surprising since the franchise revolved entirely around his character named Ranvir Singh. All the more surprising since the end of the second part was open and hinted that a direct follow-up would take place to complete the story. Unfortunately, it seems that the bait of the box office has prevailed over the coherent script of the franchise.

Because it is Salman Khan who will take the main role this time. And in keeping with the spirit of the saga, the producers confirmed that the actor would play a negative role. It will be one of the first roles of the actor that does not showcase as a hero with a big heart. We admit that the challenge will be interesting. For the direction, it is Remo D'Souza who sticks to it and it is surely the worst possible news for the franchise.

It seems that Remo and Salman have dropped their dance to attack Race 3 but see the director of ABCD and A Flying Jatt tackling the action franchise leaves us more than puzzled. And for the rest of the cast, only Jacqueline Fernandez has been confirmed as the main actress. Will she resume the same role as in the second part or will the franchise be completely resumed from scratch? Only the future will tell us.

It also remains to be seen if Anil Kapoor will resume his role as a cop he held in the first two parts. In any case, Race 3 could have been extremely promising but suffers from a cast change for the moment. It is not justified and then there is a catastrophic change of director. But after all, the Taurani brothers in production think first and foremost at the box office.

And Salman Khan in an extremely popular actor that gives the franchise very large perspectives on that side. Some rumors announce the film for Eid 2018 but nothing has been confirmed as to its release date. More information on the project should soon be given, especially since the shooting will begin only once that of Tiger Zinda Hai looped for Salman Khan.
